U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded a net inflow of $233.1 million on July 30, 2026, with BlackRock's IBIT alone taking $183.4 million. On the same day, the entire U.S. spot Ethereum ETF complex netted $12.8 million. The 18-to-1 spread is the number that matters, and it is not a one-day artifact.
The Bitcoin side
Inflows on July 30 were broadly distributed across the top of the Bitcoin ETF cohort, though heavily concentrated in one issuer: BlackRock IBIT $183.4M, Bitwise BITB $20.7M, Fidelity FBTC $15.5M, ARK 21Shares ARKB $1.5M. IBIT taking roughly 79 percent of the day's net flow is not new.
The Ethereum side
Ethereum's flow picture was messier. BlackRock ETHA $16.2M in, Grayscale ETHW $1.4M in, Fidelity FETH $2.9M out, Grayscale ETHE $1.6M out. Two of the four names on that list ran in the opposite direction from the headline.
Why the gap is not just about beta
Bitcoin ETFs are increasingly a wealth-management allocation. Ethereum ETFs never fully broke into that channel, and the ETH staking yield remains outside the ETF wrapper, which strips one of the asset's structural pitches for a fee-sensitive allocator.
What to watch
Whether the Ethereum flow gap closes if the SEC signals openness to a staking-inclusive ETF structure. Whether IBIT's share of daily net flow starts drifting toward 90 percent. Whether the August print continues the July deceleration.
